  • Discover the Cutler Mailboxes throughout the hotel. The brass mailboxes deposit mail from each guestroom floor to the lobby via glass chutes. Mail chutes became a staple as buildings grew vertically in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Cutler was the sole manufacturer of official U.S. Postal Service mailboxes from 1983 to 1904.

  • Discover the original features of the historic hotel that have been revealed through careful restoration. The Davidson Lobby is framed with striking terrazzo flooring, deep wood accents, and an original 1920s mural painted by a young artist named Cornelius Hicks. Cornelius Hicks also painted the image of George Washington in the WellSpan Ballroom. Tours are available by appointment.

  • Discover contemporary artists whose work is on display throughout the historic hotel. Commissioned pieces are from local artists and include works in glass, acrylic, fiber, found objects, and more.
