Recently renovated, the pool is named after actress and competitive swimmer, Esther Williams, who once visited Grand Hotel while starring in This Time for Keeps. Among the new additions to this iconic, 220-foot-long serpentine pool include a large, heated whirlpool, expanded deck space, a new family area, and more than a dozen magnificent cabanas.

• Play a round of golf at Grand Hotel’s celebrated course, “The Jewel Golf Course.” Hailed by Golf Digest for its fantastic setting, The Jewel Golf Course is one of the most unique courses in Northern Michigan and the United States. The Grand Nine, located across from the hotel with views of the Straits of Mackinac, was built in 1901 and redesigned in 1987 by golf course architect Jerry Matthews. In 1994, he also designed the Woods Nine, located in the interior of Mackinac Island with views of the Mackinac Bridge and the Upper Peninsula.

Nestled within the scenic beauty of the Grand Hotel gardens, Woodlands Activity Center offers an 18-hole miniature golf course that seamlessly integrates with the lush natural surroundings.
